Hola! Soy Lizette Linares. Orgullosamente latina, as a first generation Mexican-American, estoy muy excited to bring you a brand I believe honors Latina women around the world. I was born in the small bordertown of McAllen, Texas, surrounded by beautiful strong independent women. I was very fortunate to grow up indulging and experiencing the cultura first hand, speding the weekends and summers in Mexico. There is nothing like walking down the mercado isles, taking in the artistry and smells of rich Mexican culture. As a child I didn't realize the strength, and courage it took for my abuela Juanita to leave the country she loved and give her kids a better life, leaving my grandfather behind to only visit on the weekend, she was a guerrera. My grandma worked in the fields, picking anything from oranges to pumpkins, she was a boss in her right, all while raising 6 children. My grandma passed the hard working on to my mama, who has been working since the age of 14, and when she became a single mom at an early age, she did not skip a beat and did everything in her power so I was taken care of and had an opportunity at a great future, again witnessing, the strength of a Latina Mom, unapologetically fierce. Now that am a mother myself, I dream of giving my children what our Abuela strived to give her children all those years ago. This is what inspired Madre Mia, when you are surrounded by so many fierce. intelligent, luchadora women, you want nothing more then to do your part, in honoring and glorifying the Mujeres that came before you, we are invincible! we are committed to bringing high end products, made of clean, natural plants and herbs that come directly from Madre Earth. Products that empower and promote self care, because Madre, you deserve it!
